AMA Divestment Resolution Celebration

  • Wright Park Goddess Statue 501 South I Street Tacoma, WA, 98405 United States (map)

On June 13th, The American Medical Association (AMA) approved a resolution to divest from fossil fuels and support health professionals in incorporating health impacts of climate change into health care services, public education, and policy advocacy. AMA acknowledges that climate change is a threat to human health and the power of the medical voice in advocating for climate action.

Join 350 Tacoma’s "Climate & Health Work Group" and Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility in thanking our health professionals! We'll gather in Wright Park, outside of MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, and share treats, flyers with the resolution, and information about how Tacoma health professionals can get involved in local climate action.
