You're Invited! WPSR's Economic Inequity & Health Task Force invites you to “Homelessness or Health?” a free virtual event to explore the factors that lead to homelessness in Washington state, and how healthcare professionals can engage more deeply in issues that connect homelessness and health. Hear from speakers with real-life experiences of homelessness, and learn the strategies and actions we all need to take in the upcoming legislative session to pass policies that end homelessness.

Speakers:

Robert DeGregorio, second-year medical student, will share the history of, and factors contributing to the present-day homelessness crisis in Washington State, as well as share his own powerful lived experience.Po Leapai, Advocacy Organizer for the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, will share his personal story, explain his coalition’s work to end homelessness, and review the legislation we need to pass this upcoming legislative session.

This is event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
