Our coalition represents leaders in peace organizations, the labor movement, environmental groups, communities of color, faith groups, health professionals, and more.
We envision a future safe from the humanitarian, health, and environmental threats posed by nuclear weapons.
The US government plans to rebuild the entire nuclear weapons arsenal (of roughly 6,780 weapons) at a projected cost of a trillion dollars over the next thirty years. This has revived a global nuclear arms race, as other countries try to keep up. We are working collaboratively to reduce and/or eliminate all components of this proposed rebuild.
